Have you ever considered finding work abroad?
Being stuck in the office as the sun beats down outside is pretty depressing. Just take a look out of your window. You might see couples strolling through the park, or sunbathers relaxing with a cool, refreshing drink in hand. Even worse, you might see nothing at all. Maybe your office overlooks an industrial estate. Maybe you’re stuck in a basement room with no glimpse of the outside world.
While you slave away, all you can do is imagine all the sun-kissed fun going on outside. Maybe a company is giving out free ice cream, or perhaps an impromptu water slide has been set up. The possibilities are endless.
But it doesn’t have to be this way. Unfortunately, shy of a lottery win you’ll probably have to keep on working for a living. However, what you can change is the environment you have to work in. Sure, you may have to relocate a bit to do it. You could pick a short term gap year program. You could decide to up sticks and work abroad for good. Either way, you’ll be glad you made the change.
After all, the prospect of going into work first thing on a Monday morning will probably seem a little less awful if your ‘office’ is in one of the fantastic environments below.

One of the best options is working in one of Australia’s many vineyards. Spend your days outside soaking up the sun and enjoying the beautiful surroundings of the Australian countryside. And who knows, because of your hard work, you may just be rewarded with a lovely glass of Cabernet Sauvignon!

Sometimes, it’s best to just throw caution to the wind and jump in at the deep end. If your job, town and life in general are beginning to remind you of Groundhog Day (minus Bill Murray’s laconic wit), then maybe it’s time for something totally different.

There are some amazing options out there for those willing to take the plunge! But if it all looks too hard, or too much of a break from your comfort zone, that’s fine. Just don’t ever complain about your boring job at home ever again!
